Hedley
Our Lady Peace
Theory Of a Deadman
Blue Rodeo

meh..........

Looks like Wiarton on the 27th is more worth the drive...........
With the exception of Blue Rodeo, that has to be one of the most vomit-inducing lineups ever assembled.
And one that will confuse many in the audience... I don't see a huge BR fanbase crossover with Hedley or TOAD.

My thoughts exactly; what a strange lineup. If they had built on last year's it could've been promising.
Festivial Of Lights in Charlottetown this year is also a huge stink fest.
Simple Plan, Daughtry, Theory Of A Deadman

*sigh

I wish I could organize a festival.

I hear ya. Which of course begs the question: if you could assemble your ultimate ARA-style lineup for an all day music festival, who would you put on the bill? Let's say you get to choose 10 artists. If I were putting it together today, here's what mine would look like from headliner down:

The Hip
Pearl Jam (my fantasy festival is in Canada, so the PJ guys will have to settle for 2nd billing to the Hip)
Tom Waits
Wilco
The Hold Steady
The Weakerthans
Kathleen Edwards
Wintersleep
Constantines
Joel Plaskett
The Hip
Rush
The White Stripes
Sam Roberts Band
Pearl Jam
Collective Soul
Ray Lamontagne
Josh Ritter
Arcade Fire
Matt Mays and El Torpedo
tragically hip
queens of the stone age
constantines
ladyhawk
oneida
black mountain
drones
boris
sunn 0)))
isis
My theoretical music festival lineup...

The Hip
Blue Rodeo w/Luke Doucet (man these guys kicked ass at the Tralf last year)
John Hiatt
Sam Roberts Band
Weakerthans/Constantines
Kathleen Edwards
Susan Tedeschi/Derek Trucks
The Duhks
Blackie and the Rodeo Kings
Kate Fenner/Chris Brown
AA Bondy
Ron Hawkins/Stephen Stanley

No kidding. And after the Pemberton lineup last year, jeez, you have to step it up a notch.
Rush
Neil Young
The Tragically Hip
Sam Roberts
k-OS
Matthew Good
Sloan
Matt Mays & El Torpedo
Wintersleep
Blackie & The Rodeo Kings

now that's a lineup.
Would it kill Charlottetown to get a new "up and coming" band?
Instead of two shitty shows, how about one awesome one with Kings Of Leon or The Hold Steady. These bands havent played the maritime market yet...

It seems as though Theory Of A Deadman and Simple Plan are here every eight weeks.

Hell you probably could get those two bands plus nickelback to play in the maritimes and the midwestern US for weeks on end just by paying them in beer and hookers. Tongue
