Still looking to trade May 11 Massey Hall for May 12. I may have some Hip Vinyl or import CD singles to offer. Send me a PM, if interested.
Hey MAv, in the email that just went out it said that the vinyl would be available in select stores, do you have any ideas what they'd be in Ontario? If I can save a couple of bucks on shipping that's a couple of bucks more I've got for food lol, thanks either way!
Ordered mine from Maple Music yesterday and also ordered the Kathleen Edwards newest effort on LP too.
If you're looking for vinyl...

I know HMV in Ottawa (Rideau Centre) ordered 3 copies of the vinyl. I reserved a copy last week, although I didn't even check to see how much. I would assume that other HMVs will have some too.

It seems HMV has a bit of vinyl as they had the reissue of 10 from Pearl Jam as well, and a couple of others.
Someone posted that there was a HMV in Ottawa that was getting in three copies. Well, I just called the HMV in Halifax and they are getting in three as well. So my assumption would be that most HMV's will be getting in three copies.

Take your luck tomorrow or call tonight.
Just picked up a copy at Sunrise Records at the Sheppard Centre in North York, it was the only copy they got. $26.99 plus the vinyl they sell in the store also includes the free WATS download.

Really happy they released this on vinyl, I have a few of their albums on vinyl and are still sealed, i've been tempted to crack the seal and play them but want to pass these onto my kids one day and want to preserve the albums as much as possible, anyone else buy the vinyl and not open them.

My collection: Self Titled, Up to Here, Road Apples, Fully Completely, Day For Night (sealed), Trouble at the Henhouse, Live Between US (sealed), We are the Same (sealed)
Just got an email at work from my wife at home. The record arrived! I CAN'T WAIT TO GET HOME!!! :jump
I hope mine will be waiting for me :music after work
since i chose the slowest delivery time i figure my copies of the albums wont be here till next week at the earliest, but for those who have their copies, how does the album sound? im chomping at the bit to hear it!

also, out of pure dumb luck i went up to the local antique store in my small town. its a consignment store, so people bring new stuff in all the time. i just happened to be going through the massive record selection and BANG, there was DFN and TATH, the two record that i needed to finish my collection. there was also a copy of UTH, in poor shape, but for $4 i picked it up anyways. total cost, $21. god i love antique stores. you never know what you'll find!

I could see if somone had doubles of all the albums to keep some sealed for posterity, but I dont understand keeping them in plastic and wanting to listen to them, why deprive yourself of the listening pleasure? Pass em down open unopened whats the difference if you take good care of them? Is it for re-sale value? For legacy? What if your kids grow up and hate the Hip?

Sorry, not attacking you I just find it strange that someone buys vinyl or whatever and wants to play it and doesnt, just to give them to someone who may or may not even want them or use them, seems like a waste. Maybe its just me, but I never do that with anything, I dont get it.
Did the people who got the pre-ordered vinyl recieve LFTV4 copies aswell?

it's a collectors item to me, i like collecting the records because they're so rare and hard to find. it took me forever to find trouble at the henhouse, i got my most satisfaction by locating the item. listening to the music off of the record is not my biggest satisfaction, if i want to hear the songs i'll just play the cd and that's why i buy both the cd and the record. the records are for me and maybe one day my kids will want them, if not i can decide what i want to do with them at that time.

fair enough, just wondered.
just got home, NO Vinyl, NO pre-ordered CD :nooooo It is a little annoying, why preorder if you are not going to get it the day of release?
