Neil Young coming back to Halifax on April 10

Canadian music icon Neil Young will return to Halifax in April, The Chronicle Herald has learned.

Live Nation Global Touring and Gillett Entertainment Group have confirmed Young will return for multiple dates across Canada, with a stop at the Halifax Metro Centre on April 10.

Young played a sold-out concert at the Halifax Metro Centre last November.

He has just completed shows in Australia and New Zealand.

The 10-date tour begins April 6 in St. John’s Mile One Centre, with Halifax being the second stop. Saint John, N.B.’s Harbour Station is the other Atlantic Canadian date on April 11.

The concert will feature Young with the same band that backed him in November — Ben Keith, Rick Rosas, Chad Cromwell, Anthony Crawford and Pegi Young.

Everest is the special guest on this tour.

According to a news release from Gillett Entertainment, ""the sets are expected to be eclectic, featuring both newer material and classic Neil Young hits.""

All shows for this tour will be general admission floor with reserved seating in the stands.

Ticket prices range from $55, $75, $89.50 to $250 (plus applicable service charges).

Tickets will go on sale on Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Ticket Atlantic box office at the Halifax Metro Centre, call 451-1221 or online at ticketatlantic.com and all participating Atlantic Superstore outlets.

Kingston date also announced for April 14th. Tickets go on sale this Friday.

Yes, it's kind of like sex, especially if you get them through Ticketmaster.

I have my tix for London and I am pumped -- never seen Neil live.

Leonard Cohen's coming around too, but his tickets are way too steep.
