Damn, what a beautiful song. The movie it was written for is just as good. Mickey Rourke's performance is both amazing and heartbreaking. It'll be a freakin' crime if the dude doesn't win the Oscar for this flick. Apparently the song will be included on Bruce's new album as a hidden track.

...and apparently he's gonna loose the Oscar to Peter Gabriel

I thought it was supposed to be Clint's year
Well it already beat Clint and Gabriel at the Golden Globes. :thumb:

Bruce almost looked worried that he was in the wrong place when he won - and thrilled that he was in a category with Clint.
I haven't seen the movie yet, but man does Marisa Tomei ever look good in the "highlights" floating around the interwebs...
i watched the movie last weekend.... it was good, but i think that oscar talk for rourke is a little crazy

Why is that crazy? Aside from Heath Ledger, I can't really think of a better performance in a movie this year. He's already won a Golden Globe, so I think it's safe to say he's got a good chance of taking home the Oscar as well.

You might need to restrain yourself a little..
I mean a lot.
I love Bruce, and have practically been a fan since birth, seeing as my father is a huge Springsteen fan. However, I must take umbrage with the opening line about a "one-legged dog walking down the street". I assume Bruce was being (oddly and unreachably) metaphorical, or no one caught that he may have meant a three-legged dog. Call me a wet blanket, but I just can't get past it.

That line stuck out for me as well on first listen, but it doesn't bother me in the least. Like you said, I think he's just being oddly metaphorical.
