Well, it's 1:30 Sunday morning and I'm just getting in from what was a great show! It was my first time in the new UPEI Student Centre and what a perfect show for my initiation.

The show started at about 10:15 with Summersides own Nathan Wiley, playing songs from his first CD, Bottom Dollar Baby. If you haven't heard this guy, I strongly recommend checking him out.

Shortly after Nathan finished (about 11:15 - 11:30) Gord and the band kicked it off with 11th Fret (my personal favorite). Now i was able to snag the setlist after the show...but everything that was played wasn't on the list. He did a number of covers, including The Man Comes Around by Cash.

But the setlist I have is as follows:

- 11th Fret
- Figment
- Canada Geese
- Vancouver Divorce
- Chancellor
- Yer Possessed
- Steeple
- Nobody (I assume a cover)
- Pillform #3
- Pascal's
- Christmas time in Toronto

I believe these are encores, but then again, he did way more than this. It was such a blur, I can't remember if there was 2 or 3 encores.....but they were there to make this one last as it was the final show.
- Trick Rider
- Into the Night
- I wants to (??)

There's a bit of a review for you guys. Besides a couple of morons messing the show up by fighting, it was a great night! Picked up my first Julie Doiron CD.....a girl from my hometown.

right.....sleep is needed.
see ya
Great stuff. Wished I could of gone to the show. Planned on it but other things popped up that I couldnt.

Any other Hipbasers in PEI go?

High
One of those morons fighting was someone i know. He got kicked out during Christmastime I think. Funny that he got kicked out and the other jackasses who were shoving didn't. Anyway, great show but I hated the jocks who were shoving all concert. Damn I hate the people that go to concerts at the Wave. They have good concerts but the thick necked morons almost ruin it for me.

In my limited experience with bouncing, I have found that this policy works like one-sided penalties in hockey...people are less likely to commit infractions if they think the refs will call against them and not the other guy. The "one or the other" policy in concerts is a way to, in addition to deterring fights, quell the situation while still allowing as many people as possible to enjoy the show. Bouncers would much rather have one person pissed off about being kicked out than all four who are involved or whatever.
I was there, my buddy nathan opened the show (www.nathanwiley.com)

It was great. Gord flubbed a line but it wasn't a huge mistake. It sounded great.

Kleh, did you get the bootleg? You can still get it for 10 bucks as a digital download. It was a great show and I love some of the covers of songs I've never heard before, like "I Wants to Be Loved" and "Going Going Gone". Also the boys just RIP UP "Barstool Blues"!!!

Shit I can't believe that it was this long ago already since Gord was on tour.. I would say it's about time for a new album.. I actually prefer the 'Gord Downie' show to the Hip only because everything is virtually all new.. well and because I love his solo music as well.
ok, so i finally uploaded the rest of my pics, check it out
