I think I posted a few years ago about my friend, Lynne Hanson's first CD. Well, as with all good artists, she has more to say and her second CD has just been released. It's charting on the EuroAmerican chart (though I will admit I'm not sure whre that's based out of) and she has recently signed a European distribution deal, so she's spreading her music far and wide.
I wish I had some pull to have her open for the Hip

Her first CD was in a folk vein, and the new one ups the amps with more instrumentation and I think a better recording quality... (money does wonders, eh?) and it has a country twinge to it. In any event, check it out for yourself, and if you like what you hear, support local Ottawa music by buying a copy!
She's also having a CD release party at the NAC on September 20th, which is being recorded by CBC Radio 2, presumably for a later airing. I plan on being there, so let me know if you're gonig and maybe we can have a hipbase section!
