I downloaded it last night at home. Haven't had much time to tinker with it -- but I did visit thehip.com and it was noticeably faster than firefox. I imagine I'll be using it most of the time if my first taste was any indication of its potential.

I just recently downloaded it at work (that is where I test everything)
I am not a fan as of yet - it is fast, but just totally different than what I am used to and what I need a browser for. I will play around with it more though to see if I can get it to work smoothly for my needs.
How the hell does Google make everything load so fast?
And as a side note - Internet Explorer 8 just recently released their Beta 2 which I have not tried yet.

I downloaded it last night to my crappy home PC (which has a tiny amount of RAM), and it lauches and loads pages about five times faster than IE does on my machine. That alone makes me give it a hearty :thumb:
There are definitely fewer bells & whistles though....not very many user controls....

Have any of you used Apple's Safari for Windows? Chrome is built on the same technology as Safari so it would be interesting to see how they compare.

I'm finding both Chrome and Safari very similar. We use Safari exclusively at work (at least on our computers which support it) and this is as easy (or aggravating) as Safari can be.
I agree that somehow, the load times are quicker with the new browser, but I'm not sure why that makes a great deal of sense. I like it though. I'm sure there's a Comic Book Guy reference to "faster nudity" but it's too early on a Saturday morning to really go searching for the correct wording.
Cheers,
Pat

I've been using it for about a week now and I LOVE IT!!! Much faster and easier than Firefox/IE. Get it now.

Anyone know if Chrome works on Macs yet?

Not yet. And according to Sergey (Google) "It's embarrassing" that it doesn't work on Macs yet...
