Well, do you mean Brothers and Sisters, or do you mean the BRAND new Hit and Run?
Brothers and Sisters is OK, not great...by which I mean there are a few killer songs, as always, but there seems to be more aimless and pointless songs than ever before on that album. I think Gordie knew exactly what he was doing when he decided to break up the band after that! If you're impressed by Heated, tread carefully around this album...
If, however, you mean Hit and Run...well, it is a Greatest Hits album, not a new studio album. It's pretty much what you expect - a great compilation with lots of hits and few misses. It is IMMENSELY overshadowed by the super short live album that comes with it - it's an amazing performance. Every song is great. Which makes me wonder why is that disc only 50 minutes long?!

Yup I meant Bro's and Sis's :thumb: The one with All Hell on it. So the live album is only 50 mins?

I think All Hell's probably the best song on there, but there are others. Ilove the original Hey Mr. Fantasy from the 1968, so that's a good one...and so are Nicotina, She Left Ashes...but it's a more mellow sound. And I'm telling you, if you can't score the live album off someone you know, pick up Hit & Run. I never bought any album other than Heated (and B&S just recently), so it was worth it for me...but if you own every album and thus know every song, you might not consider it well-spent money.
Like I said, it's a terrible shame the live "album" isn't its own full-length CD.

Yes, they are...Gordie came out and said that after 10 years, he wanted to do something new. Not entirely sure if Big Sugar is actually going the way of the dodo, but he did say if the band does return, it won't "look the same".
However, we can take comfort in knowing Gordie's only letting go of the band so he can do something new and original! We haven't heard the last of him!

Brothers and Sisters was a very disapointing album. Maybe the dignified thing was to break up at this point.
