I was looking around Googles book site and never realized that The Hip have been mentioned in so many books:

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://books.google.com/books?q=%22tragically+hip%22+">http://books.google.com/books?q=%22tragically+hip%22+</a><!-- m -->

And here is a passage that may be about Stephen Dame's site:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://books.google.com/books?id=RUbcgm0cwT8C&pg=RA1-PA173&dq=%22tragically+hip%22&lr=&sig=IwTzyxb5OjNG0EKNjKvU9f_BdH8">http://books.google.com/books?id=RUbcgm ... KvU9f_BdH8</a><!-- m -->

That book predates Stephen Dame's site. It was published in 2000. Besides, Stephen goes far beyond identifying Canadian references.

So that must be one of the fore-runners of Dame's site. I think I may have visited it -- in it's quest to find Canadian references in the songs, it made some pretty tenuous stretches, as I recall.
