Is anybody else diggin the new CD as much as I am??? Very little hype surrounding it, which is a shame..it's fuckin brilliant...some of the most original shit i've heard in a long time!! Much more than just a Jack White side project, these guys are a full-fledged kick ass band...
The Switch & The Spur is one of the coolest tunes of the year by far..in fact from track 3 onwards, this CD feels like an instant CLASSIC..you will not take it out of your player

I have been loving this album as well. As far as the "hype" goes, I think this was intentional -- I heard they weren't going to do any interviews or promos for the album. Also, they announced the release of the album one week before its release, so that The Raconteurs didnt have to deal with critics, and so that fans get the first opinions of the album. They only finished recording the album about 6 weeks ago, and its been out for about three.
I am loving the songs "Consoler Of The Lonely" and "Carolina Drama". Would love to see this act live.
I think it's great they did little hype over it..let the music do the the talkin!!

Are the Raconteurs better than the White Stripes? I haven't heard much of the Raconteurs so I can't really compare the two.

"Top Yourself" is my fave on this album.
ive been loving the new album and thought their first was also solid
very meh...
don't like either band really at all...but i don't dislike them either...
