Completely agree. Silver Jet will get the bill, but if they were live recordings...
I'm a bigger fan of the studio version then the live versions of ATHM... so it gets my vote because it's a better studio song then SJ
Silver Jet is by far the worst song ever written by the Hip.

I was thinking along the same lines. I find ATHM to be a bit hit or miss live, where as every version of SJ I've heard live has been great. SJ doesn't come across as well on the studio version as ATHM.
Are these match ups judged on the studio versions alone?
Jet gets skipped EVERY time I come to it...just a terrible song. I can't believe they kept Problem Bear off of IVL and kept a song like Jet on. I'd like to have a chat with whoever made that decision.

Really? Apart from the last time I saw them (Brussels '07), I thought ATHM was great live (from '96 - '02)...

Yeah, sometimes. Maybe it's my mood at the time. I always enjoy hearing the studio version but I don't always enjoy it live (at least, not as much).

Yeah, sometimes. Maybe it's my mood at the time. I always enjoy hearing the studio version but I don't always enjoy it live (at least, not as much).
I agree, I just think it sounds better on the album.. it has a dark eeriness too it, the mood of the song gets changed live and it loses its dark atmosphere
