how's it going

?
We're considering spending some of our vacation out east next summer. Not having been further east than Quebec city before, we're not sure where to go exactly.
We're thinking 10 days, flying out to maybe Halifax or St. Johns and renting a motor home. We're into history and of course nice sites like Peggy's cove etc.
What are the "must see" spots would you say?
Halifax, Cape Breaton, Cabot Trail, Digby, Fort Louisburg, All of PEI just a few examples. Pick up one of these, http://www.destination-ns.com/forms/guide.asp, it is free and has everything you need to know.
oH COOL! Thanks a lot Lance :thumb:
Hey Sabina,
I can help you with this!
We spent out summer vacation out in Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Pei, and NB.
We flew into St John's and stayed for 5 days. We then flew to Halifax and stayed in Cape Breton island for 3 days. A little cottage in Troy that was just nice as hell!
We did the Capot trail it took us 10 hrs! We also saw the louisberg site!
You would love that!
Pei I would recommend skipping, it is nice but there is not much to see unless you like Anne of Green Gables.
You must check out the hopewell rocks in NB. They are about 1/2hr away from Moncton! Oh yeah in St john's there is Signal hill and of course Cape Spear. Both spots are very nice!
We flew and then rented a car. We stayed in cottages and hotels.
It was a GREAT vacation! I took 13 rolls of film.
It was very expensive though! We could have went to Australia for what we spent! But it was nice. I don't regret going.
I love my Country and I wanted to see it! (don't shoot me).
Sorry to go on about it. I hope this helps.
no go on about it please! I'm getting excited about the trip!
I can't wait to have pint at some old fisherman's pub in a beeaautiful cove somewhere listening to acadian tunes. And then going for a hike (10 miles holy cow) on Cabot trail.
You can ask me anything!
Yeah I was so excited to! It all started with me dying to go to Newfoundland. I don't know how it expanded into see all of the provinces but it did!
Halifax is really nice for dinner and drinks along the boardwalk there.

Newfoundland is my favorite! Where you planning on going that far?
Go see the Bay of Fundy too.
Possibly...we may just go where the wind blows, ya know? I've never been one for planning. Bay of Fundy yeah! Remember learning about that in school. Remember that film about the kid who drops a toy kayaker into Western Lake Superior and it gets frozen somewhere and then dethaws in spring and makes it's way all through the great lakes into the sea?! I never got tired of seeing that every year
