The song has a unique beginning, and then switches into a raw and powerful rock tune at the end. All along, it carries a great message/story

Frig! Dark Canuck and Emperor Penguin both have special places in my heart, but I'll have to take a cigarette on the porch over a glass of milk in the evening.

Unfair fucking match up. Everyone gets all hot and bothered about Emperor Penguin when clearly The Dark Canuck is second only to Coconut Cream as the best Hip song.
