I had this idea, and I just figured maybe we'd try this out, and depending on the feedback this gets will depend as to whether or not a list can be published.

Basically, I think it would be cool if we could come up with a list (in order) of our 50 favourite albums. These are chosen through a voting process.


The Process
• Participants each submit through private messaging to me 1 list of 15 releases (multiple submissions by one artist/band are acceptable).
• Lists should not be numbered.
• The list will be broken up into a master alphabetical list.
• A number in brackets, ie. (3), will denote the number of times a record appeared anywhere in the lists.
• This process was modeled after the process that lead to Rolling Stone's reader's poll (not to be confused with the Top 500 Albums list).

I expect a few un-anticipated bumps along the way, which I guess I'll have to deal with along the way. If you are an unregistered user of Hipbase.com / a guest of Hipbase.com, I encourage you to register and participate. Heck, I encourage everyone to participate.

I am going to put a deadline on this of April 15th at 12:00pm / Noon Atlantic time.

I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

Don't forget, you should Private Message your nominations/votes, to ensure a truly unique list, and a list that is not influenced by others.

Why not do a Hipbase top 50 avatars list?

Then we can do top 50 favourite flavours of ice cream, so all the chocolate ripple lovers can feel validated when their favourite comes in near the top of the list.

The point is: there has been great feedback and submissions so far, but the more votes / submissions, the better, so keep them coming!

Im thinking boner has to much free time on his hands, maybe you need a hobby or a girl/boyfriend or something, whatever. Great idea though, I cant wait for the results!!!

Aside from you two, feedback so far has been positive.
It would be cool if you participated, or at least not be pessimistic about it even if you don't like the idea.

I'm almost afraid to post with all the negativity around here these days, but I'll put together a list in the next day or so- seems like a fun idea.

As much as I love this idea, I don't see the point since we all know that Fully Completely is going to win no matter what.
