So, who has seen them so far on this tour? I just got in from the Toronto show, and, honestly, I don't know when I was that floored by a band I've already seen once in concert. It was a mind bogglingly good show. They played for over 2 hours, lots of stage banter, a solid 6 song acoustic set, nearly every single (including Big Me) and Rush.
Yes, that Rush.
Well, 2/3 of Rush. Alex and Geddy came out to play YYZ with Taylor. It was one of the greatest moments I've ever witnessed in concert, right up there with Eddie Vedder singing Last Kiss from the bleachers in Thunder Bay.
Western Canadians, go to the shows if you can. It'll be arguably the best two hours of your week.
Cheers,
Pat
Going on Friday! Can't wait.
Against Me is opening, and I'm looking forward to seeing them also.
I really wanted to see that show, not just for the foo's but that Against Me single was easily the best track of the year last year (for me at least). Alas I am broke and couldn't afford the show.
I went to the Foo's London show a couple of nights ago and man oh man what a great show! The acoustic set was awesome and Dave Grohl's stage banter was hilarious! Im not a huge Foo Fighters fan but I like their tunes and if anyone has the opportunity to go and see them live dont hesitate to do it, you wont regret it :thumb:
I've seen them a few times, the last being the all accoustic show. Going to see them next Sunday in vancouver, with Springsteen the next night..what a double bill!!

True. Rexall Place isn't known for its great sound... But there aren't that many big stadium options in Edmonton!
THE ACC SHOW ON SATURDAY WAS FRIGGIN AWESOME!
Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson joined them on stage to do YYZ!
YYZ!!!!!!!!! (Y-Y-Zed according to Dave, hehe)
and WWE Heavyweight Champion Edge was standing about ten feet in front of me too (not in the crowd, right in front of the stage)!

 The Foo Fighters have Edge doing security for them now?
I love how rumours spread. Listening to the radio on the way home Monday morning, the London rock station (96? -- it has Taz from K-Rock doing their morning show) was talking about the rumours that Edge from U2 was there in the crowd.
Oy.
Cheers,
Pat
best none-hip show I have been to. Amazing energy, they work the crowd real well. Top notch in all aspects
went to the saskatoon show last night...my first time seeing the Foo, hopefully not the last. its been a long time since i saw a crowd that into a show. against me really impressed me as well
I went last night, and it was awesome! Best non-Hip show I've ever been to.
The music was great, and the sound was surprisingly clear at Rexall. Grohl did an amazing job singing and jamming on his guitar. There was a stage on each side of the arena, with the second one coming down from the ceiling to provide the crowd with an accoustic set.
Grohl's energy and banter throughout the night made for an incredible show. They played for almost 3 hours, non-stop.
Against Me! opened, and they were actually pretty good. They weren't as good as the last band to open for the Foo in Edmonton, Sloan, but they did allright. I didn't leave during their set, so that's something.

The second stage is pretty badass IMO, i was like, "whoah! there's something coming down from the roof!"
how about the triangle solo?
