So tell us then, who is going to keep us free? Yes there is always an element of greed ,but you have to believe that the West has the best of intent, and an obligation to do\continue to do what they are doing.I am tired of all the Bush haters.Who else would of handled this better.I say pave the middle east and make 1 big Walmart!
Really? Do you honestly believe this was done to "keep us free". Do you really believe that we should drop thermonuclear bombs on people and install retail outlets that sell goods manufactured by children and slave labor?

At this point I am finished with people like you.

You are lost.

Well thx for letting me have an opinion :thumb:
I simply questioned your opinion. Don't try that victim bullshit with me pal. You are not the victim. You support murder.

Five years of listening to your side lie and twist things. No more.

The "war" is a farce and it is destroying the US (and some might say the world) economy.

With three, five, or seven trillion dollars I'm sure we could have cars running on a renewable, environmentally friendly alternative to oil.

We could pay for a generation to attend post secondary eduction.

We could do so much with that money, and the human resources.
BIGVDOGG Wrote:So tell us then, who is going to keep us free?

Free from what, precisely?

One error in your post, NegPhil: the Iraq Body Count should be considered not an estimate of Iraqi Civilian cas, but the minimum count of Iraqi civilian cas. Total cas is certainly higher.

I am not playing no Victim. If I was younger and wasnt Diabetic I would be there instead of talking about it.In fact i did try to inlist when I was 17 and was told to go home to mommy.I rarely weigh in on political topics because i know this is the kind of heat one gets for expressing the -stay the course- attitude.Im not saying its ok for all the suffering thats going in the world, and maybe i should backpedal and clarify that the paving comment wasnt intended to be taken so seriously.I am just frustrated with the side that says if we leave all these problems over there are going to go away.We cant save our ass and our face at the same time!
I am sorry that my comments are angry. I enjoy your posts here on the base and can never thank you enough for your vids.

BUT....

Opinions matter. Words matter. Actions matter.

This is not politics.

This is war.

Things are beyond urgent. The truth is available for all who choose to see it. If the good people of the world don't stand together now, right now, it will be too late.
So We will love them until they can love themselves, and once they love themselves, they will love us? I wish it was that way but sadly it isnt. The only action that is going to matter in the long run is preventative.I like my Freedom of choice when it comes to Religion.I dont promote it but i have it,and one time only i will say it here.It is God as i understand\misunderstand him\her on any given day depending on how much i want to run the show.Thats the beauty,I have that choice and i dont want it taken away by another Hitler or worse. These raticals would have my Wife wearing a Berka and not by choice! Unfortunately we have suffered and lost alot and its probably gonna get worse before it gets better regardless of our leaders. Im not gonna go on about it anymore here or attack any of you for your views. Just thought i would shed on the other side of the debate. No bad feelings here Neg.
Cool.

Love? Who said anything about love. I am not promoting love nor the abolishment of war. I am not a pacifist. I support a nations right to maintain a standing army. I support the right to go to war.

The fact that you refuse to see that "they" hate "us" because of what we do illustrates the fact that you are uninformed or more accurately misinformed. Until you recognised that fact you will continue to be manipulated by those who wage this war.

Do you actually believe what you post?

Have you thought critically about the probability of your wife being forced to wear a burqa had the United States not invaded Iraq? Do you actually believe that forcing you to convert to Islam is bin Laden's goal? Saddam Hussein's goal?

Were you aware that under Saddam Hussein, prior to the war with Iran, Iraq was a secular Arab state in which women had far more freedom than in, say, Saudi Arabia?

Operation Iraqi Liberation

What the US government was calling the Iraq War before they realized the title was more appropriate than it should have been (Operation Iraqi Liberation – O.I.L.). This is not an urban legend made up by leftists; check the official White House press release:
