Amazing album. I've listened to the entire thing about three times now, and I think it's safe to say it's her best work yet.

I'll have to get it. I picked up "back to me" after seeing her in concert opening for Bryan Adams 2 years ago. She put on a great show.
She was on The Hour the other night.Great interview where she tells George she doesnt mind selling out as long as it is on her terms. She looked great.
Oooooh! New album, with glowing reviews...I think I may have to purchase it asap!!

Apparently if you buy the album on iTunes (USA), you get a bonus track titled "Lazy Eye". Not sure if it is available elsewhere.
Damn, this album keeps getting better with each spin. "Oh Canada" in particular is absolutely kicking my ass.

I bought the album this afternoon, and have only had a chance to listen to the first five tracks, but so far, Kathleen sounds incredible!

She certainly does! This disc is my early pick for album of the year, and it's easily the best thing she's ever done. The more I listen, the better it gets. It's a stunning album.
Between this and the new Black Crowes, it's been quite a good year already!

SOLD!!!! Im I have Back to me and Failer CD's I enjoyed them both. Now im going to get this new one based on just a few comments from everybody here on this thread.

Opiated you say new Black Crows is good!!! Is it like anything else they have done? To tell you the truth I have their first 4 CD's then I kind of gave up on them.
I read a small blurb in the Toronto Sun on Friday to do with Kathleen.
She was talkin about a song of opposites she wrote.
In it she says " your the great one and im Marty McSorley"
She says she does not even know who Marty is or how she came up with it but she knows its a good comparison. Also if she does a video for the above mentioned song she hopes to get Marty in the video.
She can not believe she used the name Marty McSorley in a song.
I have enjoyed Kathleen for a while now. She is married to Colin Cripps who used to be with Crash Vegas who toured with the HIP on Another Roadside Attraction 93. I enjoyed Crash Vegas so much I bought all their music based on just seeing their set in Markham that year. Then Colin and Michelle (singer) disbanded Crash Vegas and Colin went to Junkhouse. Colin from what I hear is a studio guy who can do a good job with sound. He also plays guitar in Kathleen Edwards band now. Hmmmm on that other thread about a producer for the hips next album. I was just thinkin a duo of Daniel Lanois / Colin Cripps and The Hip all in on it. It would probably be a mix of Day for Night and Phantom Power with a hint of Fully Completly. Sounds good enough for me.
