What was with the crummy one hour footage (not even of the awards show) of the East Coast Music Awards this year? cratch: It was on t.v. last night - "Barenaked East Coast Music", and Steven Page from BNL was the host.

The footage of Joel Plaskett and Wintersleep was good, but I was really disappointed not to see a longer show. It was funny for me to see Jordan Croucher, who I know from St. F.X. basketball, perform. One hour is certainly not enough time to showcase east coast music.

Yeah i don't know why the ECMA's weren't televised this year, i was disappointed.
Even last nights show, i was waiting to see Chucky Danger perform (changed their name last week, they are now known as "Paper Lions")...and they only showed about 45 seconds of them performing "strawberry man" and that was it! I agree, an hour wasn't nearly long enough.
Here's hoping the awards are aired next year!

I wanted to check out what that was but my girlfriend vetoed it (ya I'm whipped), had I known it was the ECMA's I may have put up more of a fight.

it is perhaps possible that this year's show was not broadcasted due to it falling on the same night as the grammy's ?

it's too bad, the last few years have been really entertaining, I was looking foward to see my friend nathan play again, would've also been wild to see my friends from the saddle river string band on tv accepting that award!
