Lots of smart people here so I thought this might be a good place to voice my question...

I'm trying to import CDs onto my Itunes and I keep getting the "Cannot find album info online" message or something like that. I know my CDs aren't scratched because I've tried about ten different CDs. I've tried the easy stuff in the "Help" section of Itunes (delete the desktop shortcut, run the diagnostic, etc.) but nothing seems to be working. Any suggestions? Thanks!
First of all it would be good if you had the exact error message... but by the sounds of it that just means that it cannot find the CD in the database so it will not automatically name the tracks; the songs should still be imported.
The message is "CDDB Error. HTTP Processing Error".

You said what I meant ot say Chris; it can be imported still I would just rather it automatically name the tracks...like it should be doing.

Perhaps you should update your iTunes to the latest version. Sometimes that solves my iTunes problems.
That is an error with the CDDB, not iTunes. Perhaps the server is down - how long has this been happening?

And as Sean said, be sure you are using the most current version of iTunes.
I'll add that sometimes when I'm downloading heavily, and trying to run a cd ripping program at the same time, it times out while trying to get the information.
you should use DBPoweramp to rip your cd's and then import the mp3s. that is what i did and i found it easier and faster than using iTunes to rip them
