Although not as previlent, I have only come across this twice in my career, but what about the men who are subjected to violence.
They are out there, and they are quiet too...

When was the last time a woman walked into a public place and shot all the men after claiming that they were all chauvinists?

Can't we just, for one day out of the whole freaking year, not worry about the poor men?

While i do think we're sufficiently saturated with the violence against women theme (and it is relevant and important, i'm not speaking out against awareness), i think Detrious is right in saying that sometimes it gets to be a little too much. (i'm a pretty big guy, and i've been subjected to the "clearly he's an attacker" sentiment before)

However, if there's one day it should be discussed, it is December 6th.

I didn't say that at all mate, I am all for better education about the hideous episodes of violence towards women.
I have seen women thrown down the stairs by their partners, kicked, punched and stabbed. A pregnant woman repeatedly punched in the stomach by her husband because he had been drinking and his team had lost.
Only this morning I was at a home where a womans head was slammed repeatedly in a door....

All I wanted to point out was that there is also a percentage, admittedlty not as large, of men being attacked by their female partners who suffer in silence because of shame and lack of public understanding.
