Well, that subject could mean a zillion things, ranging from "the Leafs suck" to, well, "the Leafs suck."
But right now I'm more interested in what Warner CEO Edgar Bronfman has to say about the music industry:
"By standing still or moving at a glacial pace, we inadvertently went to war with consumers by denying them what they wanted and could otherwise find . . . and as a result, of course, consumers won."
Read it here:

let me get this straight...
the leafs suck, right?
Sadly, I must admit......the Leafs do suck.
It was a pretty big admission by Bronfman as he's been the most militant of the record company CEOs, and he's had the biggest beef with Apple's iTunes business model (aka use the content to sell more iPods/iMacs). Now that Bronfman has found his digital music Jesus, I wonder if Universal will start selling DRM-free tracks.....
Amazing that any CEO of a major company would admit to a major gaffe of any kind, let alone the kind of admission Bronfman just made.
If Universal and potentially other music companies start selling DRM-free tracks, then consumers like us would clearly win.
And maybe... just maybe, mind you... it would distract me somewhat from the fact that the Leafs are indeed, um, sucking.

A number of independents sell DRM-free tracks (check out eMusic), as does EMI.

Ah... clearly I haven't been paying attention... thanks for the tip. :thumb:
