I'm all about thanking this band. Sure it ain't perfect alla the time, but...
I remember first listening to World Container. It's hard to exactly describe it but I had this feeling that something vital was back, like something that was missing, but all of a sudden found again. Not to say that the previous cds/tours didn't matter, but, WC felt different. It felt like a return to the old(alla 1996).
WC is packed with gems...start to finish. Bob Rock did an amazing job with the band and I somewhat credit him for making WC such a great cd.
Gord's lyrics are always above most others. He has a brilliant way of organzing words and the words he chooses, so carefully, are what make TTH a great band. Great songwriting. Period.
As a band they give more than any other band I know of as far as giving their fans what they want. They play the small places(Pheonix), allow us to get tickets through presales, allow fans to video and record shows. Nothing gets more giving than that. Despite what some might think I think the band does a great job at mixing up the setlist. I heard 38 years old at Fort York and I heard a few other ultra rare nuggets over the past WC shows...Fiddlers Green...hello!!
Anyways I realize it must be gruelling for the band to play small clubs in the USA yet sell out stadiums here at home. They all work very hard and are obviously still enjoying themselves. I remember when they were accepting the Cdn RnR hall of fame award(?) and saying something to the effect that they don't feel as they are even close to an end....soooo the future looks bright for us fans
Thanks to the Family Band.

I'm quite thankful they make regular trips in Europe. While WC is not my favourite album, it was great to see some of the songs live...

Thanks to the band for a fantastic tour and album! The biggest thanks (from me at least) is for coming over to Europe again this year, so I could really appreciate the live experience as more of a hardcore fan. I had a great time on the tour, made some great friends and felt very privileged to be there.
I'm looking forward to the next one (I hope I can come to you next time though 8))

Through this band I've made some superb friends, had one of the best weekends in memory and found a nband whose work really means something to me.

Thank you, The Tragically Hip.
Thank you for writing music that matters. Thank you for being music lovers, and thank you for recognizing us, your fans, as music lovers as well.
Thank you for creating a circle of dedicated fans that create such great things as this website and the taping community. Thank you for catering us and for giving to us far more than any band does for its fans... for giving us more than we expect from you... perhaps, even, for giving us more than we deserve.
Thank you for being just as relevant now as when you started, if not more so.
Thank you for sticking true to your roots, and doing what you do.
Most of all, though, thank you for letting us know that more is on the way, so we can continue to look forward to what is coming and we can look forward in hope and anticipation for more great memories, making new friends and strengthening bonds with existing friends.
Thank you, boys... thank you!

This past tour...what a ride. Thanks boys. Thanks for the unending effort. Thanks for all the love thrown the way of Western NY/Southern Ontario. The Ballroom in Buffalo, Fort York, Artpark....gifts to say the least.
Je tiens à vous exprimer notre gratitude.

24 years into their career and they're still the greatest rock band on the f**king planet. From the minute I first heard the opening riff to Lonely End of the Rink at the Sasquatch Festival, I knew we were in for something special this year. A great album supported by a mind-blowing tour. From the bottom of my heart...thank you, boys! Long may you run!

gotta weigh in here...
For 14 years they have come to Boston every tour and leave it all on the stage...
every night..
dripping wet...
They care about their fans, and are as unpretentious a rock band as you will ever find..
and nobody (I mean nobody) is more bootlegger friendly than The mighty Hip...
God bless you guys...
