Went to O’Neal’s before the show, $3 pints of micro were great. Got to the TLA for the final 2 songs of the opening band. I enjoyed them and wish I would have gotten there earlier.

I love seeing the Hip in small venues. Gord was very animated, excellent showmanship. Setlist was nothing spectacular, On the Verge closer was great, and I never heard Fly live, so that was a treat.

Just my opinion, but please take Courage out of the rotation for a while. They opened the encore with it and I have to say "it couldn't have come at a worst time".

After show was a mellow scene on South Street. Ended the night with a cheesesteak from Jims. Great Night!

I thought the show was fantastic, I think the most energy filled show I have seen this year. I had an awesome time with my brother, who's so very cool for taking some great pictures of the show for me. I heard they only sold 400 tickets but they jammed their asses off for us!

I was lucky enough to walk out of there with some unique Hip memorabilia courtesy of Gord...a broken guitar string, hankie and a very heavy mic base (that he told me to cherish) and of course I will = : ) I was surprised Johnny didn't give out his drumsticks...he didn't at the Koln show either.

Gord was extremely animated and so very entertaining…A fellow Hip fan was lucky enough to partake in one of his skits. She helped pull out the arrow that had stabbed poor Gord in the heart. My favorite was probably him being a monkey and eating lice off of someone's head, hehe. Debating making the trek to D.C tomorrow....so very tempting!
Thanks for the reviews.. there is a thread specifically fore reviews of this show here: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://hipbase.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12295">http://hipbase.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12295</a><!-- m -->

Great routine, isn't it? This seems to be new this tour -- or has he done this in past years? And if it's new this tour, did anyone remember him doing it before the Madison show (May 15)? I suspect so, but I don't remember reading about it in any reviews before then.

I completly agree Big Grin I had a great time, and this was the most animated I have seen Gord in years. You must have been right next to me, because I was jelous of the person who kept getting the stuff right there in front of me.

Washington would be fun.... I don't think the wife will let me go.
