So here I am. I've purchased tickets for Cuse and rochester and I am from the North Country in NY which means Hogansburg is near home. But I was married in may and my wife is a new fan and not die hard and two shows in 2 days were a stretch. So now I don't know if i want to get tix to hogansburg and make the drive after i drive from geneseo to cuse to geneseo to rochester and then to hogansburg and back. Plus the tix are 50 bucks. So what i'm asking is...should I stay or should I go. I mean will I be leaving you or will i believe in you tonight. You all need to help me decide. To top it off we work in education which means MONEY is not something that is readily flowing in. You all TELL ME!!!
Easy decision....there are plenty of fish in the sea....but not many Hip concerts left this year.
i wasn't thinking divorce but um...maybe something of a compromise
i am hitting burlington, syracuse, rochester, & hogansburg. my wife will attend the burlington show with me. some time away is good, especially when spent doing something you like. don't worry about the money. in the big picture it is not much, you have a long time to make it back. you will enjoy the shows. it is rare to get this many shows in a row in such a short driving distance. i usually have to travel half way across the country to see this many shows in a stretch. go for it.
you should go, not being biased at all i swear

and nice post andre lol
i know what to do guys lets be honest but i just wanted to post here so i can be like..."See hun...they all think i should go." i'm loading the sample space...that's what us mathematicians do
Money isn't flowing for me either, you know...being in University and all...
But still. There's nothing that makes me happier than Hip shows.

Some people go fishing. Some people go to hockey games. Some people collect movies. Some people cook.
Everybody has their thing.

The Hip are my thing, and I assume the Hip are many people's "things" here on the base.
If the Hip are your thing...then you know what to do.
Go to the show. Two shows in a row is a big stretch. Three show in a row is a hardcore fan. Priorities in life change as we age. If your wife can understand, this opportunity may never present itself again. Check out the link in my signature for the shows I've seen. I think I know what I am talking about here.

Hip Trips can be fantastic for the friends you meet and the concert experiences you have. I hope to meet you at Rochester and Hogansburg.

HIP HIP HIP HIP HIP HIP HIP HIP!!

She'll forgive you.
Money is the root of most marital stress. Hell, most stress in life. Can you find a away to pull off the big dirty? Find a quick side job or sell your vintage collection of Star Wars figures. Slap that cold hard cash down on the table and hit the road. Life is way to short to skip the Hip.
Not only are the Hip going to be there.. but you get to meet Hugh, a true opportunity of a lifetime!

I second Rory's sentiments. Meeting Hugh will be worth the trip! Hugh is pretty much the man!

In all seriousness, I'm going to Buffalo this weekend, and if I get a chance on the way home I'm going to stop at the venue and take a look....maybe even a couple pics.
You should go for sure! I know (along with many of the European fans here) that you have to make the most of local Hip shows. It's not that much money really. If you can free up an extra $10 a week by not doing something else, you'd have paid for the ticket in a little over a month. It's well worth it.
