We regret to inform our fans in San Diego that our show on Saturday October 13th at 4th & B will be cancelled. Ticket holders may go to place of purchase to receive a full refund.
This situation is entirely beyond the control of the band. The venue's Entertainment License has been revoked and is currently not able to host live shows of any kind.

Man, that sucks! Sorry to all those that were planning to go.
Now, is there any chance a Friday or Saturday night show back in SF could be added? Maybe sell tickets for it at The Warfield tomorrow?

Really sucks! I was planning on going. But I'm hoping a Friday or Saturday show will be added somewhere else in the area during that weekend instead!
We had airfare, hotel, rental car and tickets all purchased. I guess we'll have to figure out sometihng else to do in SD this weekend.
Several shows moved, but 4th & B declines to explain

At least six concerts scheduled to take place at 4th & B downtown, including shows next week by The Black Crowes, Big Head Todd and Keyshia Cole, have been moved to other venues.
The first, a Last Comic Standing performance that was to have been held this past Thursday, was moved to Pala Casino the same night. Monday's 4th & B show by Cole and the Tuesday show there by The Black Crowes will now take place the same nights at downtown's House of Blues.
Tomorrow's 4th & B concert by Belgian rock band Justice has been moved to 'Canes in Mission Beach. No new venues have been named yet for the Oct. 12 Big Head Todd and Oct. 13 Tragically Hip concerts that were to have been held at 4th & B. Tickets for all six 4th & B shows will be honored at the new venues or can be refunded at point of purchase.
Live Nation, which books 4th & B and owns House of Blues, cited “circumstances beyond our control” as the reason for moving the concerts. A Live Nation spokeswoman in Los Angeles said she had no additional information.
4th & B owner Ali Nilforushan declined to discuss why his 1,500-capacity club had closed for those dates.
“I can't say anything about that, not yet,” Nilforushan said yesterday, although he declared that all shows booked after Oct. 13 would “absolutely” take place at 4th & B as scheduled. He referred all other questions to Live Nation, saying: “They're the ones who do all the talking, so I don't have to.”
However, the San Diego Police Department's Vice Unit confirmed yesterday that 4th & B's entertainment permit had expired and that the club is in the process of renewing it.
The amount of time needed to renew an entertainment permit, required for all San Diego businesses that offer live music, varies depending on the circumstances. No additional information was available.

Sure wish the Hips manager would have been able to secure another venue as The Black Crowes, Big Head Todd and Keyshia Cole were able to do. Yes, this isn’t as easy as it may look.
Am I disappointed - Yes.
Do I still love the Hip? - Of course
The Big Head Todd/Collective Soul show that was supposed to happen at 4th and B was rescheduled elsewhere but even that didn't work out, because the place they chose ultimately couldn't accommodate them. So their fans are out of luck as well. It's just an unfortunate situation for everyone.
I suppose it's possible that the Hip could come up with something at the last minute at another place in the area, but it doesn't seem like that will happen. So I've cancelled my travel arrangements and will probably go to either the New Orleans or Dallas concert instead.
