Forgive me if I posted a new thread in haste, wasn't sure where to put it.

If memory serves, there was a mention of a few songs that were made for the World Container that were not released. Are the hip holding on to these songs, or is there a chance they'll eventually release them somehow (a la Problem Bears, Ultra Mundane, and Forest Edge...all fantastic songs, btw)

Any insights would be appreciated. Big Grin
Personally I'm still holding out for a Pearl Jam-style double disc B sides album from the Hip sometime in the future.
Yeah... I've been told it's been "in the works" for about 5 years.

They have not mentioned anything since the chat session right after the release of WC:

That would be awesome. I would love to hear "Blonde Solid" hit an album. Maybe then it will be a regular on tour.
This is the only thing Hipeponymous was missing.

i seem to recall the band saying that they purposely left those off of hipeponymous. rare recordings would be saved for a serious box set at the end of their careers.

But... But their career will NEVER end... right?
A b-sides and rarities compilation would be wonderful.

I am glad I downloaded the IVL bonus tracks from THC in the past. The tracks are very good.
Are there any other rare recordings of any quality besides UM, Blonde Solid, Forest Edge and Problem bears out there? I would like to see enough for a full album eventually!
'Oh Honey' is my favourite "B-Side"/Unreleased song.

I have always liked Radio Show:

Dante, which is a demo from DFN. It's available somewhere at www.thehundredthmeridian.com as well. There are also two alternate versions of Daredevil which are quite good, and one of So Hard Done By. If you're willing to be liberal with "any quality", Bumblebee and The Vegas Strip from the Phantom Power sessions are pretty great.

These versions of Daredevil and Done By are particularly excellent.
