Are you sure - I do not really remember Rochester at the Aud last time - but I thought we were drinking at our seats.
I know we were last year in Syracuse at that theatre.
I recall that you were allowed to bring drinks down into the bowl too.
As far as pre/post, there is nothing close by, in fact, the neighborhood isn't all that great. A church parking lot across the street is accomodating for a little tail gate action. Last time there before a Deathcab/Ted Leo+Pharmacists show, we tried to find Dinosaur BBQ and couldn't, but ended up at a great place called Biel Street Cafe...good food (cajun, creole, BBQ) and beer selection, even a good band. It wasn't very far to the theatre from there (by car).
dinosaur bbq is closer to the hockey arena i think it might be a few blocks away from the show, there are hotels on main st that have bar/ resturants

Beale street is just like the Dinosaur minus the crowds. Great food, found out about that place when we went to Rochester for a lacrosse game and the wait at the Dino was 3 hours. And everytime I've ever been to the Aud theater, they've allowed drinks at the seats
Last couple of shows they have been a bit pricky about the drinks so if they let you go for it.

Where that is... i dont really know, but i hope they are decent seats.

Alright cool, should be decent seats then i think.

I would almost always agree except the bar/restaurant at the Clarion Hotel (Main Street Bar and Grill) runs a half price apps happy hour and 2.50 Pints of either blue or bud products. Happy hour runs from 4-8 every day of the week. I used to go there before my class at the SUNY Brockport Metrocenter (next door) and went there before the last Rochester show. I figure for $40 two people can eat wings and drink 3 beers each. That includes the tip. Its a shame the show is at the Aud because its not a good location at all for any sort of nearby pregaming. As far as Dinosaur goes...on a Friday unless you're gonna get there at 2:30 or 3 don't plan on eating and drinking and being able to get to the show on time. I waited an hour for a seat on a Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 once. And its not really anything to write home about anyways. I honestly think the nearest place that sells beer and food to the Aud is the sushi bar California Rollin...haha.
How's the sushi place? Any happy hour there?
Some saki could be good, along wit h some Japanese beers.
California Rollin isn't too bad. They have an amazing selection but you'll need to get over the appearance. It really doesn't appear to be a clean establishment but it is its just the ambiance they go for. Laid back, casual, bastard child of japanese sushi style of place. If you only like traditional sushi bars don't go. Friday they don't really have a deal but they do have a Sexy Sushi Chef night on Friday...I've never been there for that. Anywho...here's the website if you want to check the place out. It's about half a mile from the venue.

If there aren't drinks it means none in the seating area. Usually they set up a bar area on each floor of the theatre just outside the doors. I'm guessing that is what they'll do since a lot of restoration and what not has been done to that old theatre
At all their shows in Canada they stop serving as soon as the Hip hits the stage. It was not alway's like that but I've noticed the last 4 shows I've been to its been that way!
My first post and we are coming to Rochester! :jump
Though, we are waaay up in the last balcony
Last show of the tour??
No they will end it in Toronto
