I ran across this picture a couple of days ago on the front page of TheHip.com. It is in the right hand column.
Does anyone know the story behind it?
I see the guy in the middle is wearing a Hip jersey, but I do not even know what flag they are holding.

The guy in the picture is an Canadian Army Engineer and before he was shipped overseas, had his Jersey signed by all the guys.

So he sent me the picture telling me where it ended up and how alot of the guys over there were fans of the Hip and listened to them frequently.

I believe the flag is their regimental flag.

It's the Canadian Military Engineers flag, which is shared by all combat engineering regiments, construction engineer units, etc. Each combat unit and each support trade has its own identifying flag, which may be used to mark vehicles, headquarters, etc.

Well said ikky, whatever anyone thinks of this or any war, support for the troops overseas is always a good thing and something everyone should do.

nice story, my cousin just got back from a tour last week, i was very glad to hear that he's home now

The government ...or someone... should set up a hip concert in Kandahar for the troops!
