Meh.
That Gary Bettman sucks is not exactly breaking news. If the Canadian dollar continues to remain strong, eventually the economics will force a couple more teams to Canada. I don't believe Balsillie will give up so easily either, he just needs to be patient and wait for the one of the "false-market" teams to go under. It's going to happen eventually.

If the Predators do move......but stay somewhere stateside...we should boycott them.
a major show of support for would be to totally ignore that team when they come to play here.
Have fans in Ott, Van, TO, MTL, EDm, CAL boycott their games and stay home when this team comes to town.
i think Bettman would get the message then.

I think grimes is right. The longer the Canadian dollar stays so strong against the US dollar (and all indications I've heard say this will be so for some time yet), the more chances improve on Canada getting another team. Because it is a matter of time that another struggling US team (Florida, Atlanta, Phoenix, take your pick) will go under, and in those circumstances someone like Balsillie might be seen as a shining knight, saving the team... even if he does move it to Hamilton, Winnipeg or wherever. Whether Bettman likes it or not, one of these days an American team will move to Canada, and he and the NHL better accept it or step down from their positions if they are not willing to live with more teams in Canada.
