There will likely be a lot of Hip fans staying at the Bala Bay Inn tonight and/or tomorrow night......keep yor eyes and ears open for anything that seems unnatural....or should I say supernatural!

Can't wait for the show tonight....hopefully this rain stops. I'm sure the boys were hoping for a little time up here in the sun or on the lakes.

History
The Swastika Hotel was built by E.B. Sutton, who emigrated to Canada in 1882. In 1917, not long after it was built, he passed away in room 319.
For obvious reasons, the hotel was renamed the Bala Bay Inn sometime around 1945. Today, the Inn remains open for business with 32 rooms available.
Hauntings
Over the years, the Bala Bay Inn has seen more than its fair share of ghostly phenomena, much of it centred around the 3rd floor.
Staff of the Inn have reported a feeling of being watched. The television in room 319 is often turned on by itself, housework is undone, and the curtains are disturbed. In room 312, the television has been known to turn itself on - while unplugged.
An unseen force can be found pushing against the inside of a door on the 2nd floor, while the sound of two people's footsteps can be heard walking up and down the hall.
In one of the more disturbing tales, one staff member left her 18-month old son on the floor outside a locked 2nd floor office as she ran downstairs for the key. When she returned, the door was open and son was sitting in the toybox.
Strange happenings are not restricted to the staff, however. Hotel guests have reported seening the apparition of a shadowy figure in the kitchen area, and that of a woman in the lounge area.
The rattling of a doorknob has been heard coming from room 312, and the sound of footsteps in room 208,
Once, during a candle-lit seance, all the candles suddenly went out as the doors to all 32 rooms began opening and slamming shut.
