Is anyone even hitting tonights show?
I have not heard any talk about Woodstock En Beauce.

What does everyone think that this edition of the World Container tour will be like? Same as the rest - 18 songs or so and a cover?
Any predictions? Just trying to drum up a little enthusiasm.

I have a feeling there will be a little less of world container on this leg of the tour, and no more covers, with the possibility of a old gem thrown in its place.

here is a snapshot of the North American tour thus far (dates still to come are shaded yellow)…



The islands of Cayman and Newfoundland, the outposts of Denver and Atlanta and the triangulation of cross fire in Texas.

The Lads had a nice break after the first leg. I think they will come back and hit hard. I hope they keep the covers and add a rare song to every set.


The Lablier map looks like a map for extraterrestrials indicating the locations of intelligent life in North America.

After several hours of analysis I've reached the following conclusion: The Hip have played more shows in the North than the South. If you remove the dates they opened for The Who (Long Beach, San Diego, Phoenix) the map resembles Level 79 of the old Missile Command video game.

I still can't believe all of Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, New Orleans, Nashville, Albuquerque, Tucson, Phoenix, and San Diego have no interest in booking The Hip? I realize their popularity in these states and cities may have dissipated over the years, but why not go back and play a small club or bar and try to reignite your popularity? I bet they played 10 shows in Tucson from 1989 to 2000. Are you telling me there aren't 1,000 people in a city of 1,000,000 who would come out for a show in 2007?

Any chance you could compare the Henhouse Tour or the Phantom Power Tour (98/99) to the WC Tour?

The red is the current WC tour and the Yellow is the 1998 Tour (July 02 - Dec 12) - I still have to do 1997 yet (early next week)



Interesting thing about 1998 is the push into Appalachia and the 5 consecutive nights at the now defunct Wetlands Preserve in NY
