Is there a place in your country or even a different country that you would rather live? Have you ever thought about moving? If not, what do you love about where you live? Family, friends? Just curious, thought this would be an interesting topic.

I would move to either Virginia or California if I had a choice, because they are warmer and nicer. We haven't moved because of our family and friends being here.( I would most likely stay here in the states if I had a choice to move anywhere in the world, just because it is comfortable for me. )
Have good question. I have lived all over Canada. I have experienced and lived in many Cities around Canada. Most of my family is in Winnipeg and Regina, but I would never move to those 2 cities. I would really move anywhere in the World. My Fiance (Lynette) has never lived outside of her home town and is itching to live somewhere different. I love the city of Montreal, lots of culture. I also would like to live in Ottawa (lots of places I could get my foot in the door) and Calgary (Love that city). If you would have asked me this questions 2 years ago I would have said Edmonton. Sent many years in Edmonton. I was back last summer and it is not the same...
I grew up in Northern NY, moved to VA then to St. louis MO and now I reside in Northern Atlanta. The best place was St. louis because the people are nice and they love beer and sports. I would not recommend on living in SW VA but I really did not job situation. Also Atlanta is Ok but the traffic is horriable
I've only been around my province mainly (British Columbia). Of the places I have been and the Cities I've seen (airport layovers, etc..), I think I'd have to choose here to live. It is a great place. The weather is typically georgeous (some years a little wetter than we'd like), but for main part its great. Its a fairly warm area in the summer (30-40 degrees celcius and about 86 - 104 fahrenheit). This year a bit dryer than normal (about 43 days with no rain). We are surrounded by awesome lakes and camping areas. Some lakes have a georgeous bluish/green color. Quit nice in the summer when the sun hits it right.
BTW, mikeysaint welcome to Hipbase!
I live in the Netherlands, a small but 'great' country to live.
The village I live is called Volendam and is famous for its traditional costumes. http://www.dutchtravelonline.nl/volendam.htm
It's a quiet place, with a lot of pubs. And many toerists in summer.
If I would move, it would be to a place in the country, with lots of meadows, water and space, but still in the Netherlands.
I love Calgary because of the proximity to the mountains and family and friends. But I would love to live by the Ocean out in BC. Or in the Byron Bay area in Australia. The worst thing about Calgary is that the Ocean is a full days drive away. Sad
