think all you want ... I'm not a member of practically hip .... but, I do wish I was .... I've seen them play numerous times, and I'm stating a fact ... THEY ARE THE BEST ! .... and anyone that has seen them play can sure atest to this fact .... and YES at one time Road Apples was the best out there ... but they don't play like they used to .... so now, sitting on the top of the ladder, we have PRACTICALLY HIP ....
the documentary didn't show what practically hip can do, so maybe you guys should find out for yourself ... AND then tell me if they aren't the BEST TRIBUTE OUT THERE TO THE HIP !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... AND just because I know whats good and what isn't, doesn't mean I'm a member ...
SHUT THE GARAGE DOOR !!!!!!!!!!

K, an opinion isn't a fact...so it's not really a fact at all.
Actually, stating an opinion as a fact is kinda reserved for cferneyh at this forum, so you're stepping on his territory!

They can? Ive seen them play a few times and they are good, but not the best..not imo anyway. The lead singer, sure he may look somewhat like Gord, and act like him on stage (but who cant really?), but I think his vocals are lacking, and definitely does not have the vocal range to imitate what Gord D does, but all credit to him for trying. And his unwillingness to want to learn new material and the rest of the band being so ho-hum about what songs they play well it doesnt strike me as a group trying to be the BEST Hip cover band out there..I think the documentary can attest to that fact. I know if it was me in a cover band I'd be excited about learning the new songs and dying to play them live, thats what its all about..maybe you...sorry they, forgot that somewhere along the way.
Just my OPINION. 8)

Well, he says he isn't, and as far as I know people don't lie on the internet.

I saw the Pratically Hip in Jarvis last summer..me and about 10 other people. They're decent, but by far the best.

The Practically Hip may or may not be the best Hip cover band but I know for a fact they have the best hair crimper out of all the Hip cover bands.

Too funny...way too funny. That's Trent the bass player, he's a genuinely nice guy, very pleasant (and a great photographer to boot).
I haven't seen them play since my buddy left the band, but they put on some good shows at a place called Whiskey Joe's on the east mountain of the Hammer. They used to be regulars there...not sure what frequency they play now.
Quite an enjoyable experience. All this talk of who's the best is a little laughable because nothing replaces the real thing. Would love to know what the band thinks of these covers.
Would love it if someone could rip an .avi of this show, I'd love to see it...
