Hoping that someone can please provide assistance. I am looking for a present for my wife--we're both huge hip fans. She tells me EVERY time we go to a show that she wants a belt buckle like Gord wears. Silver block lettering of HIP. I've looked everywhere for this. Can any fellow hipster provide me with guidance please?

I met the band in Belgium last summer and asked the same question. The silver belt buckle that has the letters "HIP" is actually custom made. They got it from a place in Vancouver that has a machine that will cut out a blank belt buckle any way you want. So you won't be able to buy it as a standard item from any store but I am sure if you look online you could get one custom made also.

I am pretty sure there was one on ebay a while back, so you may get lucky if you keep checking.

There are stores that make custom buckles like that a lot of places. I know of one in Toronto on Queen St. all you gotta do is pick the letters and they make it in about 5 minutes. Not that expensive either.

Hmmm a nice TTH belt buckle would be nice also.

I'd love a buckle thats the World Container logo, that would be awesome!

I have seen this buckle at a mall in the suburbs once, and only once. I would have got it but was poor at the time...still am..

i think there's a place here in Hamilton, no sure what its called but i think it might be in one of our malls and it makes custom belt buckles. i don't know if they do pictures or logos but i know they could make the 'HIP' buckle for sure. come to think of it, thats not a bad idea, it would be a pretty sweet belt buckle. anyone have a pic of Gord's actual buckle, just to see the exact font.

my brother had a couple custome made for me and him for christmas last year figured it was about the only way

so i went out yesterday and instead of tracking down the custom belt buckle place i decided i wanted a new hat so i got one of them 'driving caps'. i like to call them old man hats but thats me, gord wears these sometimes if i'm not mistaken?



this isn't the exact one i have but i did get a black one. 8)

i'm not 100% sure, but i think you need to rock sunglasses with a hat like that...or, a really tacky but expensive golf ensemble like P diddy :lol:
