Michael Bay, man. Michael Bay. I'm going to be a skeptic until reviews and impression start rolling in.
I'm with daylight on this one. Michel Bay has not lived up to his potential since his days with Propaganda Films. I hope this is his comeback. At least it's not Joel Silver!
i saw a preview at the theatre last night, the effects look pretty cool, i don`t know if i`m sold on the transformers theme however
I'm with the sceptics here, it looks great visually but I'm not a Michael Bay fan and I'm not sold on Shea LaBeuf either...
I will be seeing this one the day it comes out due to having a geek-boy boyfriend.
I will report back and let you know how it is. I am just happy it has Josh Duhamel.

they have the original voice for opitmus i believe..i'm actually kind of choked that megatron doesn't get the same treatment...i think this movie will be a let-down the more i think about it

Jerry Bruckheimer has hired Michel Bay to direct the film adaptation of The Prince Of Persia- The Sands of Time. I'd say the chances of The Transformers movie not sucking have gone up. I can't see them handing over another franchise if he had screwed up The Transformers.

Im not thrilled with some of the ideas in the movie and the fact they didnt stick with the original concepts of the Transformers themselves, but Ill still go see it anyway. I think it will still be a fun action flick regardless, although Im sure the human factor will ruin the movie ala Alien vs. Predator.

this supposed to be? If I was forced to guess, I'd have to say it's a robot dinette set. And you know what
this ain't? Fucking Megatron, that's what. Argh.
OK, so I saw this last night. From someone who doesn't remember much about the cartoon, it wasn't bad. It wasn't all that great for me, but there are worse ways to spend 2 & 1/2 hours. It was rather silly/funny in some bits, which I was grateful for. I am normally not one for big blow-'em-up action movies with little to no plot. This did have *some* plot. The special effects for each of the transforming scenes I thought were done well. I had some issues with some of the fight scenes. I thought it was a bit blurry, and not always easy to tell exactly what was going on.
All in all it wasn't bad. I liked it a bit better then Spiderman 3. It was more entertaining. The Transformers fan that was with me felt about the same. Glad we saw it, but wouldn't go see it again.
