I'm not sure whether this will flop or will kickass... and don't turn off the trailer 1 minute in, because the story line take a 180. Some of the sequences in this movie are going to be damn cool.

I saw the trailer a couple of months ago - and I am glad I did not turn it off after one minute.
Looks pretty cool - like a darker version of Tim Burton's Big Fish. (for lack of a better description)
And, I want the soundtrack.

That looks like it could possibly be one of the most original movies in years. If it's as good as the trailer makes it out to be it will be spectacular.

The movie is obviously going to be a great tribute to the Beatles, not just a sappy musical with beatles songs. Characters include: Jude, Lucy, Max(well), Sadie, JoJo, Prudence, Mr. Kite(Played by Eddie Izzard) and Dr. Robert(Played by Bono).
That could be the best trailer I've ever seen...nice find Bonner, and thanks for sharing...I'll be looking forward to this one.

Hey, I love The Beatles too. The thing that has me worried is the film looks like a cross between Kiefer Sutherlands "1969" and The Beatles bio-pick "Back Beat". The subject and music deserve an honest and original story.
The music is obviously fantastic and the design looks stunning but the same can be said about "Absolute Beginners". I hope it turns out to be another "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" and becomes an instant classic.
The only people I want to hear singing Beatles songs are the Beatles.
So wait...let me get this straight...the character's name is Jude. His name is Jude, and the theme track is a cover of Hey Jude. Oh my god that's fucking brilliant. This movie's gonna kick so much ass...

Though, I am not sure what they are thinking as I saw the preview before Spiderman 3. OK, so a lot of people saw it, but I am not sure the Spiderman audience and the Across the Universe audience are quite the same.

I don't know...................I have kind of had it up to my neck with Vietnam and Mofia movies. Seems like two or three of each come out every year. 1 out of 100 are worth while, my gut tells me this is flopping...........but i could be wrong (wouldn't be the first).
