A friend of mine just called me and said he heard on the radio (97.3 Saint John - the station that's "presenting" the show here) that the concert scheduled for Sept 12th has been cancelled. The DJ did not know why but they would give more details when they're available.
I hope so. I emailed the radio station - no answer yet. I also called a few numbers - no answer at any of 'em.
how about you save your panicking until you see something on thehip.com
i checked out the harbour station website and they are still selling tickets... i would think that would be the first thing that they would do if the concert was cancelled

You should know as well as I do that news usually gets out days before it's posted on thehip.com. Here is the email I sent 97.3 The Wave and the reply I got this morning:

The box office has been closed since I heard this bad news - I will call tomorrow morning to confirm but I have had another 5 friends call me today asking how I'm taking the news. Apparently, 97.3 The Wave has been mentioning the cancellation every half hour or so. Just sent MAv a PM.
This would be horrendous news.
Any reason given?

This troubles me. How could the Hip let down Mr. Bonner? I hope this injustice does not stand. When I saw this thread I had a vision of young Sean suddenly stoping his joyfull Youtube dance to cry a singel bitter tear.
I was told it was due to poor tickets sales...is this right??
