I had Sirius channel 18 "The Spectrum" on most of the afternoon Sunday while my wife & I worked around the house & yard. I literally stopped in my tracks when I realized the DJ had just said "Tragically Hip" & I heard the opening bars to In View. For anyone familiar with The Spectrum, this channel is basically light popular rock, not some indy, Canadian or specialized genre channel - it's pop (Fleetwood Mac, Sheryl Crow, DMB). So I was really stunned (and pleased) to hear the boys getting that kind of national exposure.
Is this song getting other airplay in the states? Is it somewhere on the pop charts? I rarely listen to free commercial radio anymore but I can count on one hand the number of times I've heard them in the past except in cities near the border.
Haven't heard it at all down in Virginia, but that's not a big shock.
I too was listening to the spectrum on my drive back from florida and on may 10th they will be on...

They must've taped Gord's interview segments at the Sirius studios when they were in NYC last week. When it airs on 5/10 they'll be about to take the stage in Indy.
I believe it costs around $25. It is made by Applian, I don't believe you can buy it in the U.S. anymore because it works too good. In Canada I believe you can still buy it. I use it often for web feeds.

i live in troy, ny near albany and "in view" has been playing pretty heavily on weqx 102.7. they are the station that "presented" the hip show at northern lights in clifton park. the only other hip tune they play is "little bones" once in a while. i guess they had an interview with a paul or rob (can't remember which) the day of the show, but i missed it. they explained gord was resting his voice. haven't heard the 2nd single playing yet...
"In View" has been on the adult alternative music channel on Comcast
