I know this has been posted many times before, but I think IBE is one of the best if not the best Hip album (I know there are many nay-sayers). I dont know what it is about the album, but the feeling of it just fuckin captivates me, and the "rawness" of Gords voice on every track strikes me like a lightning bolt. Correct me if I'm crazy but I'm sure more of you guys feel the same way I do. I dont know if its the liquor thats talking also, but the trasition between You're Everywhere and Makeshift make me want to punch people (in a good way). any ways that is my rambling of the night. thank you wisconsin
I love about 3 quarters of it.I thought it was a little long , but that is just me. However the songs sound great live.I love their live DVD , THAT NIGHT IN TORONTO.

While I wouldn't say it is my favourite album, it's definitely up there. Their best since Phantom Power in my opinion, and I like it a little more than World Container.
I have really tried but I can't jump on the IBE wagon. There are some spots on it that I like but overall I think it's one of the weaker cd's the Hip have made.
Maybe a few years from now IBE will be the album that really grabs me... sorry guys....

They had a song called New Orleans Is Sinking
That was it...now I have Road Apples, Fully Completely, Phantom Power, Day For Night and Trouble At the Hen House.
The good lady has In Violet Light and Up To Here
and we've seen them live.
IBE certainly has some highlights ie... Josephine & Are we Family for me are cool. Lyrically I think the album has some really thought provoking material but musically I don't know. I probably need to stay up late tonight with a bottle of Jack, light some candles and give it a good "headphone" listen! :thumb:

When they go to ENGLAND they will play about 7 songs from the W.C. , CD.
I think that W.C. , is in my top 5 HIP CDs along with , ROAD APPLES , PHANTOM POWER , FULLY C. , and UP TO HERE.
It is great to have a wife who loves THE HIP too. :thumb:
My wife loves THE HIP , like I do.
We also went to ENGLAND for 2 weeks. We had a great time because there are so many great things to see and do there. :thumb:
If you like the Canadian band RUSH they are touring SCOTLAND and 6 different cities in ENGLAND in October , 2007. :thumb:

I can't wait for the guys to pop up in London again! I was lucky enough to be front and centre of the second balcony when they last played (directly above Chris as I remember). and I heard some WC songs then. I've been lucky enough to hear the album a few times too as I have a friend at work who has Canadian family and got it sent over.
IBE was special for because i always liked the hip's popular songs but i never really got into them until after the release of in violet light. so IBE was the first hip record i bought as a 'nerw' album, i remembering picking it up the day of its release and listened to it all summer long. i actually just listened to it straight through this morning. what a great album.
I'll admit, I don't make the effort to listen to the albums so much, I mostly just grab the most convenient bootleg. Today I made a point of listening to IBE while is was doing some yard work. I must say, It was a good decision. I remember spinning it a lot in the summer of its release, so I've got a strong connotation with the album. The sun was shining today, so it seemed fitting. I had actually forgotten a few songs; You're Everywhere I missed particularily.
