Hello all,

April 12 and 13 are now on the horizon when the Hip will be in the big D, Motor city etc.... Any ideas or requests for cover tunes or rarerities????

Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald
Detroit rock city
Last American exit

Some more Iggy.
Maybe some Bob Seger.
Alice Cooper.
John Lee Hooker.
Ted Nugent.
Stevie Wonder.
Grand Funk Railroad.

but if I could see/want the Hip to cover 1 "Detroit" song it would be...

The Knack - My Sharona

No Eminem?

The choices are endless with Detroits musical history. Personally If they continue the cover thing I'd like to see them crank out some MC-5 or maybe rehash Lust for Life again.

Ironically on night 2, Iggy is playing the Fox Theater right nextdoor!

Last American Exit would be awesome...

During Pearl Jam's tour last year they covered MC-5's "Kick out the Jams" at their stop in Detroit... it was fantastic... however I'm not sure if Gord & the boys could pull it off

White Stripes would be kinda cool (they are from Detroit aren't they??)

Wouldn't 'Black Day in July' by Gordie Lightfoot be the obvious go to song here?

I can't see the hip playing a kiss tune, it would be interesting though.

A rarity, and I don't care if they play it in Detroit or anywhere else, is Blonde Solid

Any Motown song.......possibilities are endless.....................

MC5 did a (great) cover of I can Only Give you Everything; maybe thell throw out a more feedback-oriented ocover

A James Brown tribute, perhaps?
