Agreed ... don't start the voting till Monday AM and let it go all week for each round ... would really build up the tension, as a song could have multiple days to make a comeback if it stumbles out of the gate.

just a suggestion ... there's also the view of "if it ain't broke ..."

This might have been mentioned already..

Just a thought, but maybe for the next time we do this, the reigning champion won't partake in the round of 64, and instead defend the belt against the winner of the tournament of 64 songs.. might add a little more drama/fun to it.

I think there need to be playoffs, or maybe a mini tournament featuring side projects??

I think Shane is going to be starting a suggestions thread for ideas like this, but I thought I'd also chime in on a similar idea I've had ... the Elite 8 or the Final Four should all be retired to "The Hip Pantheon" and not allowed to partake in the next tournament. The Elite 8 (or 4) from that tournament would likewise be retired and so on. And in the fourth year, like the olympics, you'd have a supplementary tournament of all 32 (or 16) of the Pantheon songs.

it would limit Nautical to winning every four years.
