Just a heads up for anybody who didn't know about this. I just found out about it myself. Should be a good show. Rainn Wilson (Dwight from The Office) is hosting.

Arcade Fire was good, they didn't stray too far from the sound they captured on Funeral.

I thought he was ok, there were some good moments but there were a lot of 'meh, that was ok I guess' kind of sketches. Certainly nothing I'll be quoting to people later except for 3 words, "Captain Pajama Shark".

I thought the songs were actually quite good...I especially liked the first one, although trashing your guitar afterwards was really really lame French dude.

If someone could help me out with the titles of these tracks it would be appreciated.

I think the name of the current single is "Keep the Car Running" so there is a strong possibility that they played that song. It's a great song.

Yeah, but Pete is Pete. He's been doing it since the 70's.

As for Arcade Fire, I just don't get it. A lot of people love them though. I think the appeal is that they have a lot of people on stage playing unconventional instruments. I think the crowd of people on stage has something to do with they hype surrounding BSS also.

Couldn't agree more. I like the Arcade Fire and I think they're very unique, but at the same time I don't think they're anything mind blowing. As for the guitar smashing, I thought it was incredibly lame. It just seemed so forced.

Great songs though. I'll probably buy the album.

I didin't seem that forced to me, 2 of his strings did break during a performance to millions, that would piss me off a little.

Actually he purposely broke them...as a prelude to the smashage. By the way, The Arcade Fire could have the singlemost homely looking female member of all of the bands on the music scene today. I'm sure someone will find a superior fugly somewhere...and I know...looks aren't everything but damn...she's hard to look at for extended periods of time. To quote Seinfeld...it's like the sun you just take a peak then look away!!!!
