We're still holding out for that Pageant date, too. If only that Indy show was on a Friday or Saturday, we'd have a better chance of making it.

Exactly. Not to mention after the 10th, so I'm still hoping that the St. Louis Hip drought will mercifully come to and end this spring.

How about a Fargo, ND date? I don't think the Hip have ever played there, but I'm sure the crowd would consist of 3/4 Manitoba migrants...

Sounds good...I would do my best to get some Saskatchewan migrants there. I think Fargo had some fairly big names (Aerosmith, etc.) a few years ago...but I believe that was in the Fargodome...a smaller domed football stadium.
Not sure what the small venue options would be...anyone from Fargo out there????
Being from the Fargo area, I certainly would love to see them here. The Venue at Playmakers would be the best place in Fargo. It just re-opened this fall after about $4M in renovations. It holds about 2,000 max, it is state of the art and part of a 4-bar entertainment complex. Here's the link to check it out...

Glad to hear they're coming your way...
Just wondering is First Avenue a different venue than the Quest, where I believe they played in 2004? If so, when was the last time they were at First Avenue? I checked out the "FA" website and it looks like an awesome venue.
And most importantly, there is nothing booked in yet on May 12th or 13th...we need to have a second show!!! Any speculation...anyone...anyone???
Yes, First Ave. and The Quest are different venues, albeit located 2 blocks apart in downtown Minneapolis.
First Ave. last hosted The Hip in summer of 2002...the infamous "No Air Conditioning" show. It was 95 degrees outside and probably hotter inside a packed club...but a hell of a show and a great time.
I personally prefer First Ave. over The Quest...have seen many, many shows there...it's older and dingier than Quest, but it's a classic room. Also, it was the scene of my first-ever Hip show way back in the mid-90's.

I'm really disappointed they dont seem to be coming to Syracuse this time. They've come here every tour for years.
Isn't Rochester only an hour and a half from Syracuse?
Its about 70 mins and I am thinking about it, but to be in town would be so much better for me personally.

I caught them at the Landmark for the last two tours while studying at SU. Where in the 'Cuse are you?
