With Chicago closing no less.
If I were Downie, I'd start singing "Saturday in the Park..." to get the cheap pop.

I'm not as concerned with Chicago being on post Hip... but Collective Soul? Come ON!

Cheers,

Pat
Grand Funk before Godsmack?
Who the hell came up with this lineup?
What a ridiculous lineup. Although, it would be fun just to see the Hip upstage Collective Soul. I hate that band.
Although, I'd rather see The Hip open for Collective Soul than not seeing them at all.

Thank goodness organizers of the Moncton Stones put The Hip after Maroon 5. THAT would be more injust than Collective Soul.

Agreed.

Not sure, but there is a "Rock Fest" each year in Cadott, WI that attracts bands of this ilk. I have been to quite a few, as I lived just north of there for 20-so years. My guess is that this will be at "Rock Fest" in Cadott, WI. In which case, I say Hell Fuckin' Yeah.
Okay, I just checked the site, http://www.rock-fest.com/ and there is a listing for Friday's lineup without the hip mentioned, although there is a picture of the group on the margin of the Friday window. Looks to be for certain.
