hi,

i'd like to know if some of you could give me good web references about the hip's songs lyrics. i'm thinking of starting a little «translation» project on some of downie's writings and i know there are some sites out there that contains either discussions about the songs or tips on some of the enigmatic puzzles they enclose... it's just that i have a rather hard time trying to search for them or to separate the good ones from the less «serious» ones.

anyway, any information or links would be of very precious help and i thank you all in advance.

At the bottom of the page there is a link to the Lyrics section.

thanx kim, but what i need is rather a sort of forum «about» the lyrics. a site dedicated to downie's poetry. it's for translation purposes, i need something that'll help me decrypt those lyrics and have a better overall understanding of these texts.

mainly «cultural references» type of cues, you see.

If the dude still has the license on the address (they must or it would say "not found") why didn't they just leave the content on there for all time?? I never heard of that site and now I wish I had...

Ya, I don't understand why it was all taken down either since it's obviously still a valid address. Maybe not enough support?

It's really too bad because it had a lot of great research into a lot of hip songs. Lyrics for all of them. It was kind of like <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.theskyiscrape.com">www.theskyiscrape.com</a><!-- w --> is for peral jam.
