Dropkick Murphys last night. I'm pretty friggin' hungover today.

Hey Rosetta is opening for the Jezabels tomorrow, think I'm gonna make it in there. There's an all day thing on at a local bar called "Maggotfest," a bunch of garage and punk bands. Two Saturdays from now is the Harvest Festival with The National, Flaming Lips, Bright Eyes, Holy Fuck and Portishead. And might get into Kings of Leon/Band of Horses the next night.

All of these are in Melbourne...

Band of Horses opened for pearl jam in Buffalo May 10th, I was held up and searched for 90 minutes at the border so I missed their set Sad I love their LP cease to begin! Very chill

Picked up tickets for Big Sugar/Wide Mouth Mason in Charlottetown (Nov. 19th) last night...it's the only upcoming concert for me at the moment. I've actually never seen Big Sugar or Gordie Johnson live before so looking forward to it, and haven't seen WMM since they opened for The Guess Who in 2000.

Here's my review of The National in Vancouver a year back, under very different surroundings:

Gordie Johnson is intense. Be prepared for a LOUD but good show!! Going to the fredericton show on the 20th!

LOUD it was! Honestly, that was one of the best concerts i've ever attended & it only cost 20 bucks! Wide Mouth Mason's set was very good, their singer is a hell of a guitar player. Big Sugar were unreal, just a great band! It was kind of hard to heard Gord's vocals early on, but aside from a stellar set. Mr Chill is the man haha.

About 5 minutes before WMM went on we walked up to the front of the stage where there was only about 10 people gathered around at that point, so got front row. Early on during Diggin A Hole someone threw a beer & hit Grady, lets just say he wasn't impressed! Have fun at the show tonight!
