I still think one of the most surprising revelations in any of these polls for me has been how many people don't care for Silver Jet

So conflicted; I'm having a very hard time voting for anything on this album. Even voting for Are You Ready gave me pause and right now, I'm not sure at all where my vote will go in this round.

The Use It Up hate from the Thoughts and Insights thread astounded me. Good thing I had time to get over that shock and mentally prepare for the ass-whopping it looks like it's going to take this round.

I'm going to keep voting off Throwing off Glass until it's thrown off this poll. We all know Dire Wolf is the winner here, after a dogfight with Canuck and IAGLIYDW

Use it Up for me as well. Although I did contemplate "A Beautiful Thing" for a moment.

Always found this to be such a boring show opener.

Throwing Off Glass for me; I've just never connected with this song. How did All Tore Up and Silver Jet get booted in the first round?!?

Tough decision, but had to go with Leave.

I've always really liked A Beautiful Thing, I just like the message in that song. I personally have it as #5 on this album, which may not sound great, but I just absolutely love my top 4 here.

You're always shocked at the voting results...eventually you're going to have to accept that you're a weirdo that likes b-sides Smile

In all seriousness I like seeing the perspectives of those that came to the band later than others. The more I listen to the newer stuff the more I appreciate it's at least as good as the first albums.

Just curious if you're a parent? The sentiment in TOG prevents me from voting for it...it's not something voiced in song often, let alone this beautifully.

I'm with you. 'Use It Up' is a top 4 on this album for me. And song quality aside, I love Gord's 'use it up'/'leave everything on the stage' philosophy - a philosophy he talked about often. Hearing him sing it on their last tour? I mean, c'mon! That badass motherfucker used it all up right to the bitter end. And god bless him. I won't vote against this song....unless I have to  ...and definitely not this round.
