Smalltown Bringdown is eliminated and we go to round 2.

14 - Smalltown Bringdown

Vote for the song you feel is weakest from the list. After 24 hours we will remove the song with the most votes and move on to round 2. In the event of a tie, both (or more) songs will be eliminated.

This round will end Thursday at 11:22am Eastern.

Happy voting,

Knives out earlier than expected for G'night Joe.

I was picking here between Lake Fever, At Transformation, and Morning Moon. Lake Fever got my vote because I never forgave it for not being the version from the ACC Year 2000 bootleg.

I can remember hearing you lament about this version of Lake Fever previously, but I don't know if I ever listened to it until now. It was certainly fun to hear a slightly different take. If we want to discuss different versions of songs I don't know if anything has blown my mind as much as the demo versions of In View and World Container.

I was in attendance for that ACC 2000 gig, and that version was amazing. I remember being somewhat disappointed when I first heard the studio version.

A vote for Three Pistols in Round 2???

[Image: 200.webp?cid=3640f6095bb4d23a6e2e624b41c47924]

And, yeah, that version of Lake Fever is pretty awesome. Love the rawness of it, and how about those lyrics at the end:

"And cause discontent
‘Til they make an investigation
And I’m gonna rain dissent
Collapse yer* tent
Jack up yer rent
‘Til we’re talking in whispers again…"

*(I can only assume Gord spelled those "your"s as "yer"s)

Still sing those and agree entirely about the "yer"s (and also appreciate yer quotation mark placement). Shit since it seems that At Transformation is going out here, maybe I won't vote for Lake Fever next round
