Voted FC because of the lousy production. Oh Pigeon Camera, you deserved so much better.

Don't get me wrong, the songwriting is awesome. But the album has always sounded flat and lifeless to me (Wheat Kings being the only exception). A while ago I made my own live version of FC, which sounds 100x better than the studio version.

Voted for FC as well. The production is terrible. The songs are great on it but as said above they sound lifeless. This several songs from FC on the Greatest Hits which were re-done sounded much better.

But what do I know, never did I think IVL would finish 6th.

Those remixes were done by Don Smith. I get that the Hip wanted to switch producers at that point and try a different sound, but imagine how great the entire album would have sounded with Smith at the board.

Same thing with WC. They should have stuck with Adam Kasper for that one.

I agree with the comments on the mediocre production values on FC. As someone once said on this board, it sounds like it was recorded through a wet sock. However, it's Fully F**kin' Completely! TATH doesn't deserve a higher ranking just because it has a crisper sound. This was an easy vote for me. FC, DFN, and PP are the triumvirate of the catalogue.

Is it a coincidence that the final three here are going to be the same three albums that were voted as having the best artwork? Or are our opinions of the music rubbing off on the supposedly separate matter of artwork more than we would like to admit.

I think this is most applicable to DFN. Imagine that album with the Music @ Work cover. Many would feel a bit different about the overall package. As for the other two, which both have great covers, I don't believe the artwork impacts my judgment of the album to the same extent.
