Ya it took me a while to figure out, but the whole album is just one big "track" on the player called the The Grand Bounce. If you push the "next" button on the player it sends to the Gordon Lightfoot thing.... so it might seem like it's still only the East Wind, first song, playing until you realize it's 49 minutes long.

This is so good! First listen was very enjoyable. Way better than his past two solo albums.

I just listened to the streaming of the album. Upon first listen, I'm not digging this album. First listens aren't always a great indicator, though. Hopefully, it grows on me.

Felt the exact same way...some of the songs rather annoyed me on first listen...but now I can find myself listening to the entire album entirely and digging every song. Still favourite is Yellow Days, Drowning Machine,...and Pinned is an amazing closer in my opinion. Night is Forgetting still hasn't grown on me (never really liked it as a Hip Bonus track either)...and I liked the Hard Canadian a bit more when he just played it acoustically...but other than that...there's absolutely no reason I can complain.

I liked it on the first listen...Yellow Days and Retrace are my favs to this point.

Cool, exact opposite as me. On first listen I already liked it more than Coke Machine/Nudes. Growin on me still!

You know what, this album is no Coke Machine Glow and really no Battle of the Nudes.
Gord's keeps changing over the years, be it solo or with the band. I really dig that about him though. If I was a musician for over 25 years, I would be wanted to stick to the same style constantly. It gives him more depth.
But nonetheless, this is a great album, and IMO not as good as Coke Machine Glow (but I doubt very much any further albums will top that) but it is still a fantastic album. I feel that some of the songs can sound the same, at least have the same tempo or beat or something like that and get a bit mixed together. I have only listened to it a handful of times completely through and I am sure my opinion will change in time, but that's just my current two cents about TGB.
Still really digging The Hard Canadian and Gone. Have any of the great guitar players here tabbed those songs (or any of them) out yet?
